Asian Ambiance

Asian Ambiance showcases craftsman artistry and Northwest Contemporary living. Inspired by East Asian design, the remodeled home creates a unique sense of space. The most eye-catching element is the tansu staircase at the center of the house, flanked by sculptures and connecting the upstairs entry with the downstairs living spaces. The tansu drawers make up one wall of a towering library, complete with a sliding library ladder. Built into a steep, waterfront hillside, this remodel demonstrates how a dated, hard-to-reach property can transform into a singular haven for art, design, and respite.
