SCOTT HOMMAS, PRINCIPAL
For principal designer Scott Hommas, architecture is a natural outpouring of his desire to create. The Montana native remembers first experiencing the full impact of architecture during a family vacation; he was “blown away” by the splendor of Lake McDonald Lodge in Glacier National Park. That early fascination with the impact a building can have haunted him, and in 1986, he earned his degree in architecture from Montana State University. He launched his career as an intern at Curtis Gelotte Architects, after which time he spent several years working for a variety of firms before returning to Curtis Gelotte in 1996. For more than twenty years, Scott’s partnered with clients to create their custom dream homes; whether a new home or a kitchen remodel, he embraces opportunities to introduce artistry and intentionality into any space. In his personal time, he continues to create as he paints, sculpts, and turns every house project into an art project.
