The Car Lodge was designed for a client who wanted to a unique way to display his gorgeous collection of antique cars. His home was built in a northwest contemporary style that oozes a warm and inviting quality, one that we aimed to replicate in the client’s custom car garage.
We built a one-floor garage that boasts a huge open-space area for the client’s many automobiles. We concentrated on making sure the cars would be displayed in a manner that didn’t seem cramped, making sure the space was well lit by artificial light as well as natural light, which we did by installing plenty of windows. We used wood trim along all the doors and windows to give the garage a warm, classic feel that complimented the antique collection. A beautiful glossy green floor helped to pull everything together.
In addition to the garage, we built a guest house attached to it as well, one that has everything from a complete kitchen to a rustic stone fireplace.
