Gingerbread fit for a King

Our Project Manager Eric Drivdahl was apart of the Gingerbread Village to benefit JDRF for the second year in a row. This is a lovely event that is hosted by the Sheraton every year and has quickly become a holiday tradition for many families.  Each year has a different theme and all the proceeds go directly to the JDRF.
Last year our team designed, built and decorated the Gare Du Palais train station in Canada.

Architecturally designed by our very own Eric Drivdah, this amazing masterpiece outshines your typical gingerbread house.

This year the theme was fairy tale castles our team chose the iconic Aladdin’s castle.

The team worked really hard to complete the look including hand blown sugar domes, little candy vendor booths and a candy elephant!
We were recently featured on This Old House as number 8 out of 99 of the top gingerbread houses. You can check it out here..

We were ALSO featured on the local favorite mom blog The Red Tricycle. You can view the post here.

If you have not had a chance to get down to the Sheraton to view the gingerbread masterpieces then we recommend you do it quick. Time is running out!
Oh – and vote for Aladdin’s castle while you’re there!
