“Home is the nicest word there is.” Laura Ingalls Wilder
Cards, gingerbread villages, and mounds of cookies: we love all of it. From Thanksgiving through the New Year, the Gelotte Hommas Drivdahl team savors every bit of the holidays. This season reminds us afresh of who we are: a team of Bellevue architects committed to creating a unique sense of home for every family we work with.
Family Photos
We recently looked back through our own GHDA family albums and found a few gems. In the years before we began our custom designed Christmas card, we took annual “family” photos. We selected our favorite custom fireplace of the year–each one designed to be a warm focal point in a family home–and gathered our own families for a timeless snapshot.
“These photos convey that the firm has always been about families,” Bellevue architect Curtis Gelotte reflected. “They’re an expression of the value we place on families–both our own and those of our clients. Our designs center on unique family homes, creating spaces that fit each client’s needs.”
It’s true for the way we design homes and for the way we run our Bellevue architecture firm. These cards remind us of our drive to seek the best for our GHDA family. Principal architect Eric Drivdahl points out the high caliber of the architects depicted in these twenty-five year old photos: they now represent skilled artists throughout our region.
We’re proud to be a collection of Bellevue architects that nurtures talented architects and equips them with the artistry, leadership, and passion necessary to craft custom family homes across the Pacific Northwest. They (and these cards) are part of our strong history of custom home design and they compel us forward as we pursue the art of architecture with our gifted architect-family team.

As we now head into the Christmas weekend and the final week of 2017 Gelotte Hommas Drivdahl family extends our warmest wishes to you and your family. Wherever you spend your holidays, we hope it’s filled with warm, memorable time with your family.
Happy Holidays!
