It’s not often that we get to host an open house at one of the homes we design. After all, one of the cornerstones of our design approach is that it’s not our home. But this weekend we have a unique opportunity to participate in an open house at a past Bellevue home design project: Wood, Stone, and Water.
The Design
The home’s northwest contemporary architecture incorporates natural elements—wood, stone, and water—into a modern home. The result: a custom residence that integrates well with the surrounding landscape.
The home’s nature-inspired design provides a calming effect for all who inhabit it. Wood beams and wood accents throughout create a warm and inviting ambiance. Stone features, including a fireplace and accent wall, offer a rustic edge. Interior water features complete the home’s undeniably natural serenity.
Lofty ceilings, an open floor plan, and oversized windows embody the northwest contemporary aesthetic. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the home with natural light. They look out upon the surrounding trees and down upon the city lights, creating a seamless transition between the interior living space and the exterior landscape.
Additional modern accents, including glass tables and track lighting, offer balanced contrast with the natural wood, stone, and water elements. Together, these features showcase a striking, award-winning contemporary home.
An Invitation
And the design is timeless. Now more than twenty years years, later, this dream home is on the market, and we invite you to explore our work in person. We’d be honored to tell you more about this Bellevue home design at the open house on April 21, 2018, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.
