Spring reawakens our love of the outdoors. Even when the cold lingers, the longer light and promise of warmer days draws our eyes outside. While windows are a functional necessity in home design, they can also brim with beauty. Our Bothell architects gathered their favorite light-filled spring home ideas.
Flood with Light
Windows flood the home with light. They illuminate our activities and dose us with vitamin D. Ratio House takes advantage of light wherever it can, most notably with an art glass bathroom wall. The translucent glass allows ample light to filter into the space while maintaining privacy.
Frame the View
Windows are a natural picture frame for an ever-changing work of art. The scene before you alters with the seasons, the weather, the time of day. Whether you look out upon mountains, water, cityscape, or sprawling fields, a well-framed view brings constant intrigue and beauty to a space.
Add Character
We used the same window style at both the front and rear of the house for a bookend effect that creates unity and consistency in the design.
