Spring Home Ideas: Outdoor Spaces

With the official start of Spring in the past and Easter this weekend, we look forward to the best of Pacific Northwest weather. We recently explored NanaWalls and the doors they open to the great outdoors. Let’s look beyond the doors into our Redmond architecture firm’s favorite outdoor spaces.

Ratio House

Ratio House offers a covered deck and seating area directly off the main house. A limestone fireplace adds warmth for cool spring days and summer evenings alike, and a mounted television adds extra entertainment. Bright, all-weather cushions bring a pop of color, even on overcast afternoons.

Vaulted Ceilings

Natural elements find their reflection in this wood, stone, and fire-based space. Vaulted ceilings provide shelter as skylights allow natural light to filter through. A great stone chimney acts as a natural focal point for the spacious outdoor seating area, again complete with television.

Glassworks Remodel

The Glassworks Remodel is all fun and elegance. Moroccan-inspired and designed to draw the home’s inhabitants outside, the outdoor living area brims with color. A bright red ceiling accents beige walls, and a vibrant stone fireplace contrasts with the pale stone floor. Elsewhere, a spacious outdoor kitchen offers food, drink, and every reason to stay outside.

Casa del Sol

Like most every house we design, Casa del Sol was created with its natural surroundings in mind. Overlooking the San Juans, the home embraces its waterfront views with an exquisite covered patio. A rich stone fireplace merges the wildness of the location with the structure of the home. Wood pillars and beams mimic the surrounding forest, and ample seating provides everyone who visits an opportunity to soak in the Northwest beauty.
What does your vision for the perfect outdoor space look like? We’d love to hear about it!
