One of the great privileges of working in home architecture is the opportunity to create homes that reflect the unique needs and tastes of each client. It’s an honor to be entrusted with the dreams that our clients have been harboring for years—even decades—and to bring them to life.
That’s why our team doesn’t design one specific “look”—because every house should be as distinctive as the people who inhabit them.
Here’s a look at four projects we just added to our online portfolio.
Cabin on Lake Wenatchee
This modern cabin on Lake Wenatchee is an ideal all-weather vacation home. Open trusses and splendid wood tones fill the home with light and warmth as the black polished concrete floors reflect and accentuate the home’s rich features. In the kitchen, the multi-colored tile backsplash complements the vibrant red cabinets and creates a dramatic, fun, familial atmosphere throughout the great room. The stone and corrugated metal exterior brings a contemporary twist to classic lake cabin style.
Lakeside Lookout
Situated on a bluff overlooking Lake Washington, this custom Mediterranean-style North Seattle home is tailored precisely to the needs and tastes of its residents. In the kitchen, custom cabinets conceal the pantry door. The wine cellar boasts hand-picked brick and artisinal venetian plaster, creating an elegant space to store and display the homeowners’ wine collection. Upstairs, an inviting custom fireplace anchors the master suite, and a private deck creates the perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee while taking in the sunrise.
House in a Mountain Meadow
Created as a breathtaking retreat from the chaos of the world, House in a Mountain Meadow embodies the beauty of its surroundings. The home mingles tall, open spaces with small, intimate rooms using a single, board-framed concrete wall to draw them together. Tucked into a hillside, this home captures panoramic alpine views while remaining virtually invisible in the broader landscape. Modern finishes and a contemporary aesthetic make this view home livable and timeless.
High Above the Water
Perched on a stunning San Juan Islands granite outcropping, this timber-framed home basks in natural light and stunning views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The home is crafted for an active, work-from-home professional couple bent on embracing the best of the Pacific Northwest. Inspired by the architecture of the clients’ favorite destination resorts, this unique timber frame construction prioritizes windows and views. The rustic home’s entry leads out to a walkway bridge and into the madrona and fir-nestled auto court beyond. Natural materials of stone and wood shingle siding wrap the home’s exterior and create a tree house-like aesthetic, allowing the home to emerge from the landscape and capture breathtaking sunset views.
