What do kids and vintage race cars have in common?

FUN – that’s what!
Every summer  SOVREN (Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiats) hosts The Pacific Northwest Historics from  June 29th thru July 1st. This is a weekend filled with vintage car races. As if THAT wasn’t cool enough on it’s own, the whole reason the guild does this is to raise money for our very own Seattle Children’s Hospital.


As explained on the Pacific Northwest Historics website: “The Pacific Northwest Historics features many of the world’s rarest and most beautiful pre-1970 race cars. Most have been restored to mint condition and a handful retain the patina earned while racing years ago.  This year, more than 250 vintage race cars from all over the West Coast and Canada are expected to participate. Fan favorites include Ferraris, Lotuses, Cobras, Corvettes, Porsches, Austin Healeys and some less recognizable names like Elva, Ginetta, and McLaren; many with impressive racing histories.”

The celebrity this year is Johnny Rutherford and WE are sponsoring the celebrity golf cart! We don’t get to drive him around, although we definitely tried. 🙂

There is also a silent auction on  SATURDAY JUNE 30TH which also benefits Seattle Children’s Hospital. You could snag one of our amazing cardboard cottages, or some of our more popular auction items in the past have included:

There are tons of things happening this year at the races including the 3rd year of Friday Night KART Racing, and “Testing Day” on Thursday, June 28th. This is an event you surely won’t want to miss!

From June 28th thru July 1st as the Pacific Raceways in Kent. Tickets are available at the gate during race weekend.
